Reviews Page

This page has some of my reviews of such things as movies, books about running, that I have seen or read.

Running & Being: The total experience
Dr. George Sheehan

This book is a must for ALL runners. Through his book, Dr. Sheehan has philosophically discussed life through his unique perspective as a long-distance runner.

The book has many interesting anecdotes about his running experiences which illustrate simply how the way we train and run directly affects our every-day lives.

Walt Disney Movies

This film is about Ethopian distance runner Haile Gebrselassie (who stars in it too).

It portrays how he grew up in abject poverty (eighth of ten children) and overcame incredible difficulties and obstacles to achieve his dreams as a distance runner. The film takes us from his humble beginnings all the way through to his Gold Medal winning 10,000 meters performance in Atlanta's Olympic Games in 1996.
